2018. Collagraph 41.5 x 58.5cm. Assignment 5 Print from Memory and Imagination – The Dreaming 2. Concept: This image series continues the theme of Arcadia, based originally on photoscreen prints of the Grand Arcade. Inspired also by the video game: Dreamfall and Australian Aboriginal mythology. This second image ‘the Fall’ is a dystopian image of global warming that was much in the news in the summer of 2018. Many attribute at least part of the cause to the unsustainable glossy consumption promoted by shopping malls.
Technical details: Based on a digital iPad design from geometric photoscreen prints of the Grand Arcade. This design was made into a carborundum card collagraph and printed on different papers that were then cut into different shapes and collaged together. Mounted on card.
